Here are a few excerpts of letters which we, at Foi et Vie Réformées have recently received:

S.M., from Man (Ivory Coast) writes: “I always listen with much pleasure to the tapes of your teachings which are run on the Catholic station here (…) I sincerely have a very special interest in these teachings. My children too are delighted after the programmes have been played. I would like you to count me as one of your faithful supporters and listeners who, I hope, are many throughout the world. Please send me the documents related to your teachings.” C.C.N, from Cayes (Haïti, West-Indies) writes: “I am a young Haitian teenager from Cayes. I have just become thirteen years old (…) Every evening, at about 9:00 PM I am tuned to Radio-Lumière in order to listen to your programme, my favourite, which is broadcast twice per day. (…) As a youth, I always read the Holy Scripture and my goal is to become a theologian, like you. I have never missed a single of your broadcasts, especially the programmes geared towards children.” Again from Haïti, the following excerpt, from Rev. J.P.: “We rejoice because of the interest you displayed towards us by sending us books and messages prepared for the radio. May the Lord always be the source from where you will draw living water to be shared with others”. From Algeria, another teenage youth, S.L., writes: “I am writing in order to confirm that I have received the texts of your series “The Bible told to children”. I received the parcel about 10 days ago. I cannot thank you enough for this sending off which I am sure will be most useful (…) I am impatiently waiting for your next shipments. Meanwhile I will continue listening to you on the radio”.

We also received our first letters from France, after our programmes started to be run on 14 FM stations. These reactions of listeners are most encouraging, but often require a personal response. Our correspondence is often behind, but we do our best do keep personal ties with our correspondents. Within the next weeks, our stock of Bibles in French will slowly but surely decrease, as we prepare to send several shipments to various countries. We are about to order new stocks, though. On the technical front (not the least trying!) we have eventually managed to place on our website the soundtrack of our messages on a computerized format: every month, a few FM stations retrieve 6 programmes directly from the Internet, saving us postage, time and concern about the reliability of postal services. We have also started copying ourselves CDs with the messages on them. They are about to be dispatched to several radio stations, especially in France.

By the Grace of our Heavenly Father, we are therefore now in a position to provide radio stations with our messages by way of different formats: audio-tapes, 3 different CD formats, Internet. We keep storing the written text of the radio-messages on our website, which is also regularly updated with the latest information. And, of course, apart from the broadcasting of Foi et Vie Réformées by more than 30 stations around the world, we keep printing the text of each programme and send as many copies as possible to our listeners who write to ask for them.

Please, do remember that you are our partners: your prayers, your support under various forms is just as important as the work which we do from our office. All of this has but one focus: the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ and the glory of the Triune God.
